The Hijri date, as your country lives it.
Hijriya shows the Islamic date confirmed by your local religious authority, not a single date calculated for everyone.
Why it exists
In many countries, a month begins when the crescent is sighted, not when an algorithm says so. Most apps show the same calculated date everywhere, so the app and the mosque often disagree by a day. Hijriya exists so you can trust the date you see, for fasting, celebrations and everyday life.
How it works
- Each country, its own method
Moon sighting or astronomical calculation: Hijriya follows the method your country actually uses.
- Confirmed by the official authority
Each new month is checked against the official announcement before it is marked as confirmed.
- Honest when it isn’t sure
Until the announcement, the date is shown as awaiting confirmation, never as a guess.
